After breakfast, discover Aswan with your Egyptologist guide. Visit the High Dam, built in the 1960s to control the Nile's floods. Take a motorboat to Agilika Island and visit the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Finally, see the Unfinished Obelisk, made of red granite and dedicated to Amun Ra. Optional Tour: An excursion to the Abu Simbel temples is available, either by coach or flight. This tour includes visiting the Great Temple of Ramses II, dedicated to Rahorakhty, and the smaller temple dedicated to Ramses II and Queen Nefertari. You will then return to Aswan and be transferred to your hotel or Aswan airport.
