Tour Plan
Arrive in Luxor and transfer to your Deluxe Nile cruise, embarking before noon. This afternoon, delve into Luxor's East Bank wonders. Explore the sprawling Karnak Temples Complex, a testament to centuries of dedication to Amun Ra. Continue your exploration at the Temple of Luxor, a magnificent structure built by 12th dynasty kings and completed by Ramses II in ancient Thebes, also honoring Amun Re. Enjoy lunch and dinner onboard, and spend the night in Luxor. (L, D)
After breakfast, your tour of Thebes continues on Luxor's West Bank. Explore the Valley of the Kings, the royal cemetery for pharaohs. Then, visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari, an architectural marvel carved into the mountainside. Your final stop is the Colossi of Memnon, statues of King Amenhotep III. Return to the ship for lunch. Enjoy a free afternoon, followed by dinner and overnight on the cruise. (B, L, D)
Enjoy breakfast before visiting the Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of Egypt's best-preserved temples. Return to the cruise for lunch as you sail towards Kom Ombo. In the afternoon, explore the Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to Sobek and Haroeris. After your visit, return to the ship. Enjoy the views of the Nile. Dinner will be served as you sail to Aswan. Arrive in Aswan late evening and overnight. (B, L, D)
After breakfast, discover Aswan with your Egyptologist guide. Visit the High Dam, built in the 1960s to control the Nile's floods. Take a motorboat to Agilika Island and visit the Temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Finally, see the Unfinished Obelisk, made of red granite and dedicated to Amun Ra. Return to the ship for lunch and afternoon tea. Enjoy a free evening, dinner, and overnight in Aswan. (B, L, D)
Disembark after breakfast. You will be transferred to Aswan airport or station for your flight to Cairo. (B)
Optional Tour: An excursion to the Abu Simbel temples is available, either by coach or flight. This tour includes visiting the Great Temple of Ramses II, dedicated to Rahorakhty, and the smaller temple dedicated to Ramses II and Queen Nefertari. You will then return to Aswan and be transferred to your hotel or Aswan airport.
